PowerGraphExplorer Applet Test
Power Graph Analysis -
Interactive demonstration
Non biological examples:
We will start with three diverting networks for which the underlying 'story' is known,
or at least the required background knowledge is more broadly shared
than nownledge in molecular biology.
We show how Power Graph Analysis can be applied on networks obtained
from the 'Les Miserables' novel, from another old book, and from information
obtained about board members of north american corporations.

Biological Examples:
Next we have a network of interacting human proteins, a network between transcription factors and target genes,
a sequence similarity network (homology) between human protein tyrosine phosphatases,
and finally a food chain network.

General information about the interactive demonstration:
For the following demonstration to work on your machine,
you need at least the version 5 of
Java
(Java 1.5).
The applets allow you to navigate freely in the networks.
The navigation is very similar to the one in Goggle Maps:
- Right-clicking and then dragging allows to pan the view.
- The mousewheel, or on the keyboard [PAGEUP] and [PAGEDOWN],
allows to zoom in and out.
If you experience any problem with the applets please contact us.
